Hong Kong Trip 2008!!!

Yoyo... I am in Hong Kong already!!! Very long never blog liao. Firstly, thank you those who came to send me off! Really appreciate it even though my departure date clashes with Yan Heng's evangelical birthday party. Thank God that I am once again flying on Cathay Pacific since I flew on Jetstar Asia last year. (Come to think of it, my first series of posts were about my trip in Hong Kong last year! So my blog is already 1 year old! Lets sing a birthday song! "Happy Birthday to my blog, er...", ok, nevermind lets get back to the main point). To those who have flown with Jetstar Asia to Taiwan would know how small and crampy the cabin and seats are, so I am really happy that my flight back to Hong Kong is actually a HUGE B747-400 installed with Cathay Pacific's newly introduced seats!!! (I will go into details later). And yes, I saw the A380 for the first time in my life in T3! Anyway, yes Pei Fern, T1 can link to T3.

Thank you for sending me off!

The huge bird!!! Singapore Airlines' A380!!!

My plane for the flight.

The moment I stepped onto the plane, I was so excited to see that my plane has the newly installed seats. I can only use one word to describe the new in-flight entertainment system (IFE) on the new Cathay Pacific seats, they are SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOUCIOUS, the new IFE are Audio and Video on Demand (AVOD). The new screens are so much wider. You can navigate through the system to search for movies or TV programmes you wish to watch. You can decide when you wish to watch your chosen programme. You can rewind, forward and pause your programme like watching a movie through a DVD player. I fell in love with the IFE, never ever was I so impressed with an airline's IFE.

The new IFE!

Oh, and the seats. they are just AMAZING! They consist a cup holder (So you don't have to put your meal table down just for a cup of drink), a coat hanger, a adjustable headrest, a foot rest and a laptop socket. However, the main attraction is that the seat itself won't recline, it has a hard plastic back, it is the seat cushion that will recline which firstly won't cause the problem of ramming into the passenger seating behind you when you recline your seat and secondly creates my leg room and personal space. The whole cabin also looks really futuristic or cyber looking with the new seats. Service was great, better then Singapore Airlines I would say. Food was very delicious, they had a choice of pork with rice and chicken with mashed pumpkin, (the mashed pumpkin has a very fragrant buttery smell!) We had HAAGEN DAZ vanilla ice-cream for desert too!!! (Haha... Don't be jealous ar.)

My first photo with a Cathay Pacific flight attendant, they are such great crews!

My heart was filled with joy when I see my 2 aunts at the airport fetching us! It feels so good to be back again here in somewhere I am familiar with. I really pray for God's guidance and blessings for this trip and I hope all are well in Singapore too! Updates will keep on coming, stay tune!
